Grand Sire: Rake Terance

Justice was purchased at the Perth Bull Sales in 1995 for 2,000gns. The first calf he sired was Unique who sold for £2,000 to MacGregor, The Binn, Glenfarg. She went on to secure the Reserve Championship at the Royal Highland Winter Fair and Champion at the Royal Highland Show. He has since bred numerous Champions and continues to be used as a successful AI sire with calves having sold to £6,500. Unfortunately Justice is no longer with us, however a limited amount of semen has been taken.

Craigatoke Butch

Sire: Haltcliffe Underwriter
Grand Sire: Goldies Oswald

Butch was purchased in May 2008 at the Carlisle Bull Sales. He has bred exceptionally well with his first two calves selling for £3,800 and £3,000. He consistently breeds calves with great width, tremendous tops which have very square plates without losing correctness. One of his most recent progeny, Mickey Finn, secured the Reserve Champion Steer slot at the Royal Highland Winter Fair for Jennifer Hyslop. He was also a first prize winner at AgriExpo and Smithfield

Sire: Pacha

Dam: Orgie

Attila was purchased from the Callion's at Lodge Limousins in Spring 2012.  His first calves are due in the Spring 2013.  He was imported as a yearling calf from France in September 2006 from Cathy Patureau, who has bred of a number of influential bulls used today in the UK for example Jacot, Rossignol, Rocky, Requin (Bailea Herd), Saphir (Emslies Herd), Silex (Dunlops), Paul (Glangwen Herd), Titan (Oddacres Herd) and Vivaldi who are all excelling in breeding cattle with exceptional shape.

Attila’s grandmother Delicieuse was also the grandmother of Requin, sire of Bailea Umandy.

His progeny include Poker Face who was out of a Belgian Blue cross and bred by Christopher Dick was sold to Melanie & Michael Alford at the Caledonian calf sale in September 2009 for £1500 (aged only 9 months).  Poker Face has since done exceptionally well for the Alford’s winning Baby Beef Champion at both the English Winter Fair and the Welsh Winter Fair in 2009, and Reserve Baby Beef Champion at the Scottish Winter Fair 2009.  She was described by the judge at the Welsh Winter Fair as “a tremendous heifer, showy and stylish and hard to fault”.

He also sired Lodge Dapper (Dam: Lodge Smartie) who was shown successfully in the summer of 2009 winning first in a class of 10 at Stirling show, and second in a class of 14 at the Royal Highland Show.  He went on to sell for 4,500 gns at Carlisle in October 2009.

Bringlee Volkawagon

Sire: Baron Du Bois Bauloy
Dam: Bringlee Sandy

Purchased May 2009, previously successful stock bull for David Kelly, Netherhall, where he sired Netherhall Buster who was sold for 17,000 gns. Volkawagon is a full brother to 3 successful AI sires: Bringlee Blackstar (first Belgian Blue exported back to Belgium), Henlli Wishmaster (21,000gns) and Solwayview Dynamite. Volkawagons first calf at Logierait sold for £3,200,this was a 5 month old BB x Lim heifer calf. He has since sired numerous four figure priced calves and has left some tremendous heifers which are being retained for breeding. Unfortunately, Volkawagon is no more due to an injury, he is sorely missed.

Nix (Cross Bull)

 Sire: Rossignol

Dam: Belgian Blue

This Rossignol son was purchased in May 2011 as yearling bull from Stephen Nixon, Huntershall, Wigton. He is a very stylish and correct bull and has been mainly used on heifers. His first calves out of BBx heifers were born in September 2012 quite easily with his calves showing good muscle and a few real smart heifer calves with some show potential. Fingers crossed he breeds half as many show calves as his sire Rossignol who has bred many great show calves for J Richardson, Gyll House, Penrith.

Goldies Glengrant

 Sire: Haltcliffe Doctor

Grand sire: Cloughhead Umpire

Goldies Glengrant is a new addition to the herd, after having been purchased at the February Bull Sale in Stirling. He is a bull with great character, good width and a tremendous hind quarter whilst still being very correct on his legs.  Glengrant has the breeding to back up his looks, with his Grand Sire being Rossignol who has bred many show calves and he has three other great sires in his pedigree; Sympa, Domino and Cloughhead Umpire.  Fingers crossed he works OK and breeds some show calves.
